Medjed

After spending close to two years orchestrating some of Sydney’s most vibrant events, from nightclub nights and boat parties to block parties and brand activations, he developed an instinctive understanding of how crowds move, what they feel, and what keeps them locked in. It was this relentless proximity to stages and selectors that ignited something deeper: a hunger to be the one behind the music.

Within a single month of picking up the craft, he landed his first booking, a testament to both his natural aptitude and the years of event experience that had sharpened his ear. Under his former alias, Duta, he spent the next three and a half years building a reputation as one of Sydney’s most versatile selectors, championing a rich palette of global sounds including Amapiano, Baile Funk, Gqom, and Dancehall across some of the city’s most respected venues: Noir, Room 22, Mansions, Cult, Alcatraz, Mr. B’s Basement, Cheers Bar, Le Blue, Starship, and Glass Island.

By late 2025, a new creative restlessness had taken hold. Sensing there was more territory to explore and more of himself to pour into the music, he made a decisive move and stepped away from the familiar. At the start of 2026, the rebrand was complete. Now operating as Medjed, he has turned his focus to the relentless, forward-driving world of uptempo music, specifically Techno. Channelling the same precision and instinct that defined his early career, with a bolder, deeper, and darker energy brought by his profound selection of tracks.
